Hi guys - more a question for S owners. At what speed can you get into 7th gear? I'm thinking the T has a differing ratio as it won't go into 7th manually until 50 mph. It loves to kick down.
Usually on a motorway - when ambling along - I put it in manual mode to keep it in 7th.if I need to blip by I just push the button

Cheers

There's a lot more torque so it will pull 7th from 43mph for me.

Not a Macan, but my 7-speed (manual) transmission doesn’t ‘ask’ to go into 7th (gear change indicator) until I’m doing at least 70mph.

I always drive mine is sport mode, so 7th always comes in late.

Drive mine in Sport or individual (which is sport plus hardest suspension) around the twisty side roads and on the motorways I just use Normal mode and softess suspension and let ACC decide which gear to select.

Have never used the manaul mode and probably never will :D

My SD is always very quick to 7 th .Might be why even @ motorway speeds it’s returning 44/46 mpg .
Huge difference in low down torque.I thought the golf GT I engine in a “ T “ was said to be struggling to keep up .Most N Cheshire ladies out lunching probably won’t notice anyhow .Sorry the OP discovered this .

It's not a question of struggling to keep up, I was just curious.

As I've said many times yes the S has a far superior engine. But at a (spec for spec basis) a far higher price.
When buying a T one compares it with other 4 pot Suvs and not the S. When buying the S I assume you compare it with other 6 cylinder Suvs.
