Dipping mirror for reversing

This is probably a simple fix but it’s driving me nuts! When I first got my new Macan last month, I ticked the box in setup to dip the passenger side mirror when reversing. Now
I have found I actually prefer to do this manually as most times I don’t need it. But no matter how I try unticking the box, it defaults to dipping the next time the car is started . The only way I can leave that page is to go back, can’t see any save option, can’t find anything in the manual. So any advice on what I am doing wrong guys? And girls, obviously,

After unticking the box try saving the setting using the memory function.

I may be wrong as it is so long since I set mine but I think that the preference is saved with the driver settings.

Probably because you’ve got that setting in the key memory - untick the box again, push the key symbol on the driver’s door card and you should be fine.

Edit - Col just beat me to it....😉😂

I like the feature, anyone find it doesn’t dip enough to properly see the kerb? Used to be much better in my old 911

Might just be the considerable extra height of the Macan

That is where specifying Surround Cam comes in very useful

When you're in reverse and the mirror is dipped, use the adjustment button to further dip the mirror to where you want it, then save the setting to the memory. If you have key memory checked it will save to that too.

Thanks all, I’ll give the key memory a go!

Does anyone find the mirror is quite slow to return to its regular position when you change to drive?

If you are looking at your mirrors you are not setting off fast enough
