On my Gen 2 it gets too hot after a couple minutes. The London burbs don’t see really cold temps and I’ve maybe used it 2-3 times in two years ownership. I’ve accidentally switched it on quite a few times though.

Maybe leave it until proper winter temperatures and really cold hands when you get into the car. I think you may find it’s fine then. It warms up quickly but then is regulated by its thermostat to be a comfortable warmth in the ten to two position on the wheel. It takes a little while for heat to soak into other positions on the wheel I find.pingman777 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 14, 2023 6:31 pm Thanks all. Used mine both journeys over the weekend - love the heated wheel.
Dumb question but are you holding the wheel in the correct place? Mine gets too hot to hold on the bottom sections, but is perfect where you're supposed to put your hands.

Mines fine. I turn it off after a while as it can feel too hot for me

Plyphon,
To solve your problem you could always turn your steering wheel so the bottom is at the top!!! That way your hands will be warmer!
Just mind how you go...............................
Cheers GTB

The heated steering wheel on my 2019 S is quite toasty. Hot enough that I turn it off after a short time.
