Does it require turning off manually or does it time out like for example a heated rear screen, or seats etc?

I find the perceived temperature of the wheel is dependent on the temperature of my hands. In the winter when they're cold the wheel feels hot, when in the summer it only ever feels warm. Like most debates on this forum such as insurance cost, best options, colour in fact almost everything there are so many variables that one size doesn't fit all.

I did. Still none the wiser. You said it regulates heat to a comfortable warmth. OK, but does it eventually time out and turn off similar to seats or do you have to hit the switch

I had it on my Macan, and i really liked it. As mentioned in the above, its not hot just warm which is perfect.

When I got the 911 C4S, it didnt have it and i did miss it, however on my new Targa 4 GTS it does have it . I shall be using it shortly ;)

Same here. Turned it off after about 15 mins as it was just nice and warm (not hot).

I didn't have it on my previous Macan and thought back then it would be a bit of a gimmick that you'd use once and never again. Now I've got it on my new one my opinion has totally changed. Its a nice and useful option to tick.

The rear heated seats are getting well used on the school run as well!

+1. There was frost on my car this morning, so my fingers really appreciated the heated steering wheel. 🔥

Was frosty this morning and I don’t have it. Also 992 is not quickest car to warm up so heated seats only 😳
Would have been nice to have heated wheel and would spec if getting another I think 👍

Ah, ok, I’ve never had it time out, just regulating on the thermostat so I don’t believe it switches off until ignition is turned off. It would then need to be switched on again if required.
