So my Gen 1 Turbo has thrown up a message today saying brake pads require replacement.
In my BMW I would just go into the cars menu and I would see how many miles were left on the front and rear pads so know which ones need replacing.
I have looked at my car menus, my Macan owners manual and also done a search on the forum. So far I haven’t found anything that has told me how I establish which pads need replacing.
Advice appreciated…
Brake pad replacement warning
You'll need to actually look at the pads to find out which need replacing.

When the brake pads are permitted to wear down, prior to proper replacement, the low-cost pad wear sensor will also require replacement.
Don't forget to include measurement of rotor thickness to ensure sufficient "meat" is remaining or if proper replacement is also required.

I have a permanent red brake warning light in the rev counter dial and a message in the right hand dial “Change brake pads. Driving permitted”
Been really busy today, will have a look at the pads tomorrow.
