Yes another thread about this!

This time the car doesn't have a pano roof so that's not the culprit.

Any ideas about where and how the water could be getting in the battery compartment/ boot and in the fuse compartment on the drivers side?

Was it parked on a hill?

We had two old A class Mercs that you could park facing down hill if it was raining heavily as the boot filled?

Or was it uphill?????

Parked on completely flat ground. It's parked outdoors on the drive at home and in a covered carpark at work.

Last time I checked it, probably about August time, it was bone dry.

I gave it a wash yesterday - just using a normal hose, not a jet wash.

OPC found it today whilst doing a service

Did the OPC use a jet wash on it or leave it open a bit when they washed it (or is the before they washed it)

Like I said, I'd washed it yesterday prior to dropping it off today. I don't think they'd washed it again.

I've read it could be getting in around the roof rails. But why has it only just started now?

I would think more probably, from the rear boot seal or around the lights. Would imagine that if it was roof rails, the evidence of he leak would show in the roof lining somewhere, on it's way to the boot area.

^^^ Would have a job getting into the fuse box from the rear lights though.

Could there be a route around the fuel filler cap as the fuses are below it? To point out I've not had any electrical issues.

OPC are investigating but not heard anything from them yet. Any water ingress is a nightmare to track and fix permanently. I really don't want to be seeing any dampness and water near the electrics in the future!

Even my Lotus hasn't had water like this sloshing around in it

Apologies, looks like I've got the wrong fuse box! :(

There is a drain hose just below the filler cap. Is that blocked? Air line or cocktail stick should fix that.

Are there any water marks on the tailgate cover that lifts up with the tailgate? I had water getting in from the 2 cable ducts in the top of the tailgate aperture. OPC couldn’t find the leak, they opened a ticket with Porsche UK, who suggested that OPC sealed them with some silicone sealer. Not had an issue since. I need to point out that I didn’t have a boot footwell full of water though.
