Probably been asked many times on here but my 1 year old Macan is due an oil service (3.7k lockdown Miles) and the OPC quoted £340 of which £170 was for 5.2ltrs Mobil 1 0W20 oil. Asked if I could provide my own oil, exact same type and was told point blank no, not there policy to allow?
Is this anyone’s experience?
Want OPC dealership stamps in the book but price seems to be taking the mick

You can't really blame them, they have their overheads to cover.
It's like asking if you can bring your own steak along to a restaurant as you don't like the price of the T-Bone.
Buy a Porsche and it comes with Porsche sized maintenance bills.

Hi Whtever, Perhaps get a cost for this service from your next nearest OPC. As long as they are not in the same group!
If it's lower, then you can use it to negotiate with your dealership.

I always take my own oil and the OPC are perfectly happy about it (they let me at least!).
Now taken delivery of Gen 2 GTS http://www.porsche-code.com/PMWQDY44

I'm not sure where you are based, but Porsche Brooklands will let you supply your own oil as long as the bottles are sealed and you have an invoice for them.
I supplied my own oil to Porcshe Belfast and saved a lot. They were perfectly ok and indeed gave me the exact spec to buy.
I would go to another dealer if that is their attitude. Yes they have costs to cover but the high labour cost will be more than enough to cover that.

I like your analogy, can't argue with that. I just find their prices hard to swallow (sorry for the pun). I use an Indy for my old Boxster as they are a fraction of the price

The problem is that the above oil is NOT Porsche C20 approved, which is the spec for a Gen 2 Macan S 3.0 litre engine.Madelvic wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 9:44 am Total rip-off when 5litres is £30

I’ve recently bought the following Mobil 1 0W20 C20 oil from Cox Motor Parts:-
