The overall correctly inflated diameter / rolling radius dimensions are the same.

Recommended for temporary spare:
- do not to exceed 50 mph
- restrict to 50 miles use
- avoid heavy braking / acceleration / swerving while it is in situ.

I believe the 18in spare will have a higher profile tyre which makes up for the smaller diameter of the steel rim.
