Indeed. Painted red as standard, but for ‘just’ £581, we’ll paint them in black instead of using red paint for you, sir! ;)
There's no correlation between the cost of an option to Porsche and the price they charge. The only link I can see is the gullibility of us punters.
There are plenty of establishments out there that will repaint your calipers for around £100 mark. :o :D
Good point, ah well have wasted £400 odd quid there but in the scheme of things… 😳

A can of caliper paint costs around a tenner. If you can paint by numbers you can do it yourself.

And that will take you how long to complete? what about the Porsche lettering? Don’t think many takers on here when spending £50/£80k on their cars do you 🙄

Of course I'm deadly serious. There's so many retirees on here I'd imagine quite a few have the time and patience to take up a new hobby. If they enjoy it they could offer it as a service. I'm certain there are many rich people on here who would want a new colour every 3 months and they'd pay for the paint, masking tape and brushes and also a drink for the old buffer, making it a very cheap pastime ;)

Pretty sure i know the answer here, but wanted to run past the group!

Just specced up a GTS with the Performance Pack, although in the metallic Black that i want and realised it only comes out £1,000 more than my current spec. My only sticking point with it is the seat centres, steering wheel, arm rest etc are all race tek which i am not a huge fan of. Particularly as I am keeping the car for a long time, I have misgivings about its longevity vs leather.

So my question is, I assume I can't spec the performance Pack but choose leather over race tek? Pretty sure the answer is no?

I have had and prefer the Alcantara seat centres, central storage lid and arm rests. In 3 years SD and now
2 years with GTS it shows no signs of wear at all. Race Tek will probably be similar.

Advantages are:
▪︎Warm in winter
▪︎Cool and less sticky than leather in summer
▪︎Seat is more comfortable as softer with a bit more give than all leather
▪︎Breaks up the unrelenting
finish of all leather with its contrast material
▪︎Looks attractive
