Going to need a new windscreen washer pipe and new button/switch for the mirror control.
The washer pipe cracked on the Cayman last year in the same place and it was replaced under warranty so you should be ok.

Warranty ran out 06/04/2021.

I didn’t buy an extended warranty, due to various mods that I’ve had done to the car. :(

Bloody hell time flies when you're having fun. Try this if you don't fancy paying the dealer to fix it. https://rennlist.com/forums/diy-991/944 ... ement.html

Thanks, Nick. Good detective work!

Just had a quote for parts, labour & VAT from Dick Lovett = £243.09!
Oh dear, but might be the whole switch unit replaced so perhaps could be worse!

Yeah, it is indeed the whole switch unit, Nick! Maybe just as well, as the other switch may be on the way out too...! 😬

No point in having regrets. :) Although if I were buying a new 911 today, I don’t think I’d do the same again. Maybe one or two modifications, but probably less changes than I’ve had done to my Carrera T... Hey, we live and learn... :P

Yep, it was me with the switch as NN posted earlier. Replaced under warranty, no issues since.

Well Simon, that post is a close as you can get to expressing regrets without having regrets. ;)

Never mind the mods, if you had your time again would you choose a 911 as a daily driver knowing you would be covering 10-12k miles a year?

There are replacement switch units on aliexpress for around £20, maybe worth a go if you fancy a diy swap - the quality can't be any worse than OE.

If you want a bit more confidence then LLL Parts supply original Porsche parts, prices better than OPC - delivery takes a few weeks but bought a few small bits from them and all has been good, supplied in Porsche boxes/labelled bags etc
