Hi Steve,
Loving it! Jeeves gave it its first wash & detail this morning!
Loving the sense of occasion on every trip, long or short. Enjoying all of the noises that it makes. Savouring the howl as it approaches the red line! Still savouring the practicality of having a 911 as a daily driver. Having cruise control retro-fitted next week by my local indy. And booked in with Center Gravity in October. So all good!
Cheers,
Simon

Hi Simon, here's another question: How are you finding the move to a wide-bodied 991.2?
I think it's about an inch wider each side than your narrow-bodied 'T'. Not sure what sort of roads you usually drive, but after nearly 4 years without a car I am now looking for a 991.2 and am tempted to stick with a narrow-bodied (2wd) T or S - some of the lanes around these parts are somewhat narrow and I am worried about hedge/bramble damage to the rear paintwork. I looked at a 4GTS at Solihull a couple of weeks ago and was tempted - am hoping some Ts or Ss are part exchanged in the coming weeks.

I have a 991.2 C2S and similarly have lots of narrow lanes where I live. The difference between the narrow and wide body is minimal though - less than an inch per side, and the width is the same if you include the mirrors. I opted for the C2S because I prefer 2WD - I tried the 4WD at the PEC and found it just added weight and understeer. No real risk of a need for 4WD due to weather conditions where I am though.
Gone: Macan S petrol
Gone: Boxster S:
Now: 911 (991.2) Carrera S

Thanks for that! Yes I too want 2wd, however the C2GTS is wide-bodied so I have been ruling those out for now. Mind you, the rest of the GTS spec is attractive so I may add C2GTS to my search.Zinzan wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2024 10:21 am I have a 991.2 C2S and similarly have lots of narrow lanes where I live. I have a 992 which is wide bodied and I still think it’s a pretty small car. Never had issues with width on the road and my BM 335d GC felt bigger than the 911Guy wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2024 10:38 amThanks for that!
