I had always yearned for a GT3, but thought it would never happen. Then an unexpected windfall materialised and here we are!
Picked it up this afternoon from RPM Technik near Tring, who took in my modified T in part exchange.
I have just enjoyed my 65 mile drive home. What a machine!
The engine is the star of the show. It’s a naturally aspirated 4.0 flat six based on an engine that Porsche use in race cars. I’m loving the symphony of mechanical noises, even at tickover. And at the top of the rev range, it really howls! Mine has the very slick 6-speed manual gearbox. Fab.
I think the ride is actually slightly better than my modified T (which was lowered and stiffened). And I don’t feel it’s any noisier in the cabin, even with the bigger engine & no rear seats. So I think it’ll suit me just fine as an exotic daily driver!
The interior is lovely, with acres of leather & alcantara everywhere. The back of the seats are leather, as is the entire dash top. I like the alcantara steering wheel too!
Basically very happy with my upgrade & looking forward to learning/developing my driving style to adapt to this marvellous new machine!
