The deposit was originally intended for the EV. Now I'm not going EV, the OPC knows that I'll take it back unless he offers me a decent PX for my current GTS against a new (and potentially slightly discounted) GTS. Suspect we won't agree figures, but for now we've just exchanged a couple of emails - so there may still be scope to go aheadPorscheMack wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2023 9:11 amNot sure PX figure will be any different against a new GTS as OPC doesn't need to offer more as you've already ordered a new one. Are you thinking of changing now or 2 years down the road?FirstSeaLord wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2023 10:02 pmQuite. Was thinking £75k and I'd make the change with the new one arriving around Jan, so in two years time.
No hurry to change. I'd just had a deposit down for months in readiness for the EV one which I could switch to when it's launched but have decided (as I think we discussed f2f) that not much good will come from going EV, so I then thought maybe get one of the last ICE versions given that the current models are holding their value pretty well. Well, until I heard the offer!
Haven't really engaged with the OPC since they gave me the number as it's not critical by all means, but might see if they're prepared to move upwards in a few days when am back home (currently in Scotland)

Interesting. But I'm sure you would get a much higher offer from a specialist car dealer than any OPC. Keep us postedFirstSeaLord wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2023 1:34 pmThe deposit was originally intended for the EV. Insurance is one THING, (didn't make much difference on our RS6) reliability is down to choosing the right tuner. Some will go hunting for numbers, others will go for numbers AND reliability.

Macan Turbo (Mamba Green)
Audi RS6 (Misano Red)
Audi S4 (Silver)
Audi S3 (Imola Yellow)
Peugeot 309 goodwood (Green)

Many tuners that shoot for numbers to attract the idiots, often don't make good driving cars, especially if the impressive numbers are pushing the OEM hardware beyond supporting those high numbers, especially with regard to intercooler and other items.
You also need to make sure you are not close to or exceed the design torque limitations on the PDK and transfer box.
Some cosmetic changes by Dan Merrin Wheels in Derby. Shadow chrome wheels, racing yellow callipers and silvered wheel hubs. Can’t recommend him highly enough, absolute passion for detail.

Thanks mate - not quite the right colour for ceramics but I know what you’re saying
I just wanted a colour matched yellow to look pretty…
