Topless version of Cayman 718 GT4 RS! And the last ICE Boxster before they go electric!

And I know I asked whether the Spyder 718 roof was weatherproof, but I’m pretty sure that this roof is not watertight! ;)

Am also wondering re the roof eg whether it's secure when parked up

Am guessing it’s neither weatherproof nor secure from thieves. Many comments online about how rubbish the roof seems and apparently one heck of a faff to put up/down. Also, having the roof up severely limits the recommended top speed!? :shock:

More suited to sunnier climates than the UK. Still a lovely car to own and enjoy for the odd dry sunny Sundays

Agreed, probably a more enjoyable drive on the open road than the GT4 RS (which seems more track-focussed). Would still need secure indoor parking/storage, I’d say. :)

It's essentially the same as a 987 Spyder roof, one top part that acts as a sun cover, the other part adds in rear window and a rear quater bit.

Apparently the roof is good for 124mph.

And yes I want one 😉
