Am pretty certain that I’ve passed HGVs/LGVs when they’ve been doing more than 56mph!

I still reckon that many of them get closer to 70mph... :geek:

...especially downhill with a following wind... ;)

Just for clarity, there isn’t an ‘overtaking’ lane, or even a ‘fast’ lane. Motorway lanes are numbered 1, 2, 3, etc. HGVs are restricted to lanes 1 and 2.
Perhaps they should go back to the old naming and whilst they're at it they can call lane 2 an 'overtaking' lane too so that lane 2 hoggers get the message too.
It doesn't matter what you call it, people will still hog the central lane on three lane motorways. Back when David Cameron was PM there was a campaign which included all the dot matrix signs displaying "Keep Left except when overtaking". Nothing changed even though there is now a law about this.

Middle lane hoggers are total cockwombles! It really does annoy and frustrate me!

I can't help myself most times to let let them know..............

Trip back from Snowdonia a few weeks back to London.
4.1m/kWh. 70% of electricity was free (pod point in Wales where I was staying). Total cost about £7 I think + whatever the coffee cost at Telford SuC.
No hypermiling, just driving normally.

Technically it was completely free (whole journey is within range of car) but I wanted to have about 30% SOC when I got home (can’t charge there)

I used to hypermile in the Macan from time to time. It does enliven otherwise monotonous journeys.
Used to have 2016 Macan Turbo PHCKCL70
Previously a 2014 Macan Turbo.
Now a 2021 Tesla Model 3 LR

I expect 30 to show at 70+ and a sight more at 60! TBF, never actually tried it on a M'wayn, no caravan in tow I trust!n Overall about what i get though.
