Everyday life for those early adopters to EV. Some of what i learnt with the LEAF, most of which is in that article, does help the Macan economy. Fun it might not be (although looking far ahead and moderating speed to utilise gaps rather than stop/start is just good advanced driving), but with so many 20/30/40 zones these days you can barely make any progress on A/B roads these days ; someone has an accident in a NSL zone and all of a sudden it becomes yet another 40mph zone.

Hmmm, I've nor seen a 'Hypermiling' segment on my sports chrono switch thingy. That and the suspension mostly stays in Sport unless I have the missus in with me. Perhaps I should tell her to lose some weight to help my economy! If you don't hear from me for a while, it didn't work.

Well, getting a divorce will certainly help with the weight saving in the car.

A work colleague decided that after being away on business for a few days that he would fill the tank up to the brim and set off to drive the 250 miles back home as economically as possible.

As most of it was on the M1 and M6 he drove at 56 mph as that is supposedly the most economical.

He was a nervous wreck by the time he got off the M6 with HGV’s coming right onto his tail before moving to overtake or just honking at him for going so slowly, many cut him up.

He got over 40mpg out of his 2 litre Mondeo.

For some reason he never tried it again.

While I have some sympathy for his exercise I can't get away from the thought that anybody obstructing HGVs on a motorway should be banned from them for life. There should be a legal minimum speed of 60 mph brought in. :)
