With the noise insulated glass, you won’t hear the sports exhaust!

An interesting thread. I am selling my 2019 911 992 CS tomorrow and buying a 6yr old Boxster 981 GTS instead which will suit me better. The 911 is an awesome car but too fast for UK roads in my opinion.
So fast that I rarely get to hear the engine anywhere near its top end. If I was going for another 911 I wouldn’t buy an S again.
The Boxster on the other hand sounds awesome and is a lot of fun to drive. Great for the next couple of years whilst I wait to see what the Macan EV turns out to be like.

I bet that the naturally aspirated 6-cylinder Boxster GTS does indeed sound awesome. Please share some pics when you get it!

They do. Even my wife's Cayman 2.7 sounds pretty awesome with PSE switched on.Wing Commander wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 4:09 pmSalty wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 3:15 pm An interesting thread. I believe that the frequency of the sports exhaust is outside of the range that the glass is supposed to suppress. Not that it matters, I was only speccing an imaginary car!Wing Commander wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 11:48 amhomerdog wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 9:22 am Nice spec - like you I'd normally not consider the base car, but on reflection it's probably all you'd ever need. @homerdog , you have a cool name!
It reminds me a friend of mine had a Rhodesian Ridgeback dog called Homer. Homer was a very well travelled dog and passed away in Tarrytown , New York
