Porsche 718 Caveman GTS 4.0

I visited my OPC today and enquired about changing order from 718 GTS to the 911 CS.
The SE showed me a chart from Porsche GB with indicative delivery dates for new orders. It turns out that Porsche already sold their 2022 allocation and if one places an order for 911 Carrera today it should be delivered in Q3 2023!

Well, I placed an order for 911 Carrera S… indicative delivery is 4Q2023

Yes, that is the plan @WingCo. Caveman GTS first, followed by the inevitable 911 CS. I tried to swap queues, but to no avail.

Yes, that is the plan @WingCo. Caveman GTS first, followed by the inevitable 911 CS. I tried to swap queues, but to no avail.

If it was me, and I was keen to get a 992, I’d ring round lots of OPCs to find one with a bigger allocation/shorter wait time, or look around at low mileage 992s on the pre-owned market, although I do realise that some/many used prices are currently taking the p1ss somewhat

Thanks Simon, I will make few phone calls! On low-mileage 992, I would rather wait for a new one, while I enjoy riding the Caveman GTS 4.0.
My current Boxster is pre-loved one and mechanically it’s perfect, but it drives me nuts when I see all the chip-stone damage on the bumper and headlights

It is a natural evolution for me, from a 2-cyl boxer motor under my BMW motorcycle, to 4-cyl Boxster, to 6-cyl Caveman GTS … and finally the 911 Carrera S.

They came out roughly May 19 didn't they ? I got mine in Oct 19 so that could well be on time

I understand the 992 facelift comes out towards the end of 2023, so we will see. However, on a second thought, if I get an earlier allocation, I will be delighted to take straight 992.

So, according to My Porsche (on the Web), my Caveman is scheduled for production.
The footnote states that this is a generic pic, so I take it, I don’t need to contact OPC about wrong wheels.
