Got one of those annoying Facebook adds for a car company called Genesis.
Apparently it is the luxury brand of Hyundai.
They are doing a promo drive at present and I am invited to test drive a model at Tatton Park.
Anyway out of interest I looked at the website and configured an SUV version and it totalled nearly £66,000. This is for all the options and a 2.5 turbo petrol engine producing 300bhp
New kid on the block, well sort of.

I wonder if Tiger Woods will turn up - his last drive of the same model didn’t end well

They’re new here but I believe they’ve been about for ages in the US. They were showing their new range ( for the UK ) at Goodwood earlier in the year. They look really unpleasant to my eye. They are full of plasticy bling to appeal to the US market. Probably nice to drive and likely to be reliable, but they do nothing for me.
You see, what you are doing there is forgetting the Americans tend to have different “tastes” to other, possibly more civilised parts of the world. A quick Google on the brand shows:mistercesq wrote: ↑Tue Nov 16, 2021 2:09 pm I can be sure of one thing. At that price they won’t sell many.
From an international perspective it is shown that the most revenue will be generated in the United States (US$483m in 2021).
I meant over here. I should have elaborated!OmniCognateSnr wrote: ↑Tue Nov 16, 2021 2:21 pmYou see, what you are doing there is forgetting the Americans tend to have different “tastes” to other, possibly more civilised parts of the world. What is meant by the term sputtering?
1 : to spit or squirt from the mouth with explosive sounds. 2 : to utter hastily or explosively in confusion or excitement "that's ridiculous!" she sputtered. 3 : to dislodge (atoms) from the surface of a material by collision with high energy particles also : to deposit (a metallic film) by such a process.
Apparently?!?!?!?
