Is it a PCM Version 3.1?
£400 on EBay.
Quite a simple fit.
Not sure if replacement unit would need coding to the car though(?) If so, half an hour at an Indy should sort you.

Porsche dealership just told me the PCM unit is faulty, and quoted me to replace it. The screen is blank so I cannot use it to check the model myself as I cannot see anything on the display. I will call them and ask. Don't want to end up buying the wrong one

Am I allowed to say on here ?? The quote was a four figure sum and the first digit was a 2, nearly a 3

There seems to be plenty of UK suppliers of replacement units, Google and check out links.

Holy sh** Batman!!
Google You Tube and you'll see a few fitting videos. Like I said, any replacement head unit may require coding to your VIN/car, but this is pish-easy for an Indy to do. Indeed, you may decide to just source a used replacement head unit and go the Indy route for the entire install/coding job. Can't see that costing you >£1k all-told.
