West Wales to Stratford today - 155 miles -30.8 mpg
Traffic on the M4 for the first 60 miles average speed 40mph, purely down to traffic volume.

Very unusual, but I managed 39 mpg on 160 mile journey last week. I put it down to the car having just had its first service and that I'd pumped up the tyres to 39/36 PSI rear/front for going on holiday. Otherwise, 34mpg is the highest I can achieve over long distances. MPG figures vary wildly depending how the car is driven.
