Not sure why ppl, who don't know other ppls circumstances/requirements, think it's acceptable to post some of their negative comments.

I was hoping this forum would be above that. Seems not.

It's not even a money issue for me, it's what my wife wanted!

I have a Boxster and 12 motorcycles, so I'm happy enough.

Any other 'T' owners have similar thoughts?
All are welcome, except those with bright green or yellow cars. Obs 😉

As an ex T owner. I can vouch it's a lovely car. Just prefer the S as I have a Golf GTi with a latitudinal T VW engine and was made an offer for a a used with 700 miles on it at a price I couldn't refuse.
So now I drive an ex Mafia car. 😁

It’s all a personal preference. I had a golf R before the C43 and the main difference for me was the engine. The new C43 and a Cupra Alteca both have a 2L and it felt a retrograde step that I personally would regret, hence the S/GTS choice. All versions are nice cars , unless a funny colour obviously!

I have never actually driven the Macan T but we have an Audi TT which I believe has the same (or similar) engine and I think it is a great engine :D :D
My wife has a TT and, yes, it's a good engine. But the Macan T is 40% heavier than the Audi TT, so it goes without saying that the performance will be lower.

I've driven a Macan T loaner for around 150 miles on a mix of roads and found it disappointing. On open roads, in order to get any sort of progress, the engine revs furiously and the PDK shifts around trying to achieve maximum performance. In urban conditions, it's fine, so I'd imagine the Macan T is ideal for those who just want to take a Porsche badge on the school run or to the supermarket.

Ignore the haters. There is a lot of snobbery within the Porsche ranks. More so in 911’s.

Porsche produce the T for those who wish to own a Macan, have it look and handle better than the base car, but don’t need the go from the V6.

I wonder if they owned a Golf R, they’d look down their noses at Barbra down the road who bought a 1.6l because she can’t afford an R, or needs the performance from one either.

Generally haters ridicule to try and make themselves feel superior.

Lots of great advice on this website but like everywhere there are a few ignorant self opinionated idiots who frequent this forum
The T is for people who want an SUV which handles and has miles better driver feedback than it’s rivals ie Audi Q5 etc.
I personally like the V6 as it suits the Macan but I also totally get why people choose the 2l and enjoy driving it.

Just for balance, just because someone disagrees with someone else, about the merits of a car doesn’t make them an idiot or a hater.
We are not obliged to mirror each others opinions although I agree we should be obliged not to be rude in the process. 🤷‍♂️
