Has anyone experience of info about fitting higher profile tyres to the standard 265 40 r21 and 295 35 r21? Be very interested to hear if I’m not alone in no longer wanting the car to run on such a low profile. Thanks

You'll need to replace the wheels if you want higher profile tyres.

+1 as above 19 or 20. Very little improvement in 20s

Very little difference between 20 and 21 inch, the latter does seem to have a bit more road noise at speed but nothing intrusive.

There is a limit in wheel size you can fit.

Go talk to your OPC and see what they have for sale that you could take out for a drive on the worst condition roads near you.

You do say which generation of turbo and what type/size of brakes. Both can have implications for the minimum size of wheels that can be fitted/

I specced 20" rims, it looks as if there's barely enough room over the front brakes for 19".

Are you after more comfort or less punctures?

You can still spec 19" spare wheel for the current GTS so standard 19" wheels will still fit. It's 18" wheels (that used to give the best ride) that can no longer be used.
