Not sure I'd do that with a big soapy mitt in my hand. I slide a wheel brush into the mitt and use that to clean the middle of the roof.

The Big Boi Mini that Nick mentioned is very good. It is £175 but it has variable heat settings, inlet air filter so that you don’t just blow crap back over the car, a tough quality electrical lead with a 5 metre expanding lightweight hose (also available in 9m) and rubber protection on the nozzles. You don’t have to carry the blower other than to reposition from one side to the other and you don’t need a step up to dry the roof. Looks like there is no stock available with Amazon or Ultimate at the moment but Ultimate usually re-stock quickly and contact you directly once available. They used to give a 5% discount for your first order, not sure if that’s still the case. Link below.

I use the Vertool Forced Air Dry 180. It's around £150 and an absolute brilliant bit of kit.
My detailer uses one so was a good recommendation.

With the doors closed, I can reach the center using an 30cm long Kent microfibre noodle (mitt) to soap clean the roof. Once rinsed and after water dispersal, I open the doors to reach across with the Autoglym ID10 Instadry Microfibre Towel to dry the roof.

How flexible is the hose ? On some of the cheaper options the hose looks a bit stiff. My cousin has a Blo Air GT , very soft flexible hose but would probably blow rocks off your car, a bit OTT.

I use one of these, really powerful and good results.

I did ask around at the time and the consensus was that a leaf blower won't have a filter so anything could get blown onto the car that goes through the unit so I played it safe

Very soft and flexible hose.
The Vertool has a variable power dial so from gentle to blow your rocks off. Hot and cold air. Two different nossles, small round opening for discs, wheels, brakes and panel gaps and a flat nozzle for body panels.

I've got the Bosch 18v 'Power for all' leaf blower, primarily for blowing leaves. However, I occasionally use it on my car wheels, mirrors etc and it does the job. However, if you're wanting something specifically for the car, I'd recommend a dedicated car dryer if you can get one for a decent price. They look easier to hold so less chance of accidentally banging your paint with it!

I did look at those, my cousin has the GT model, but didn't want to fork out £170 , £70k for the Macan but not £170 for a dryer :) ;)
