Yes, I use mine to dry the underbonnet area. Sadly, mine's a Stihl cordless so it doesn't make much noise.

A number of people have mentioned deionised water. Having googled it there are a fewf options. I would be interested to hear what system people use.

This is also what I have used.

The larger 14 litre Raceglaze filter that I have lasts an age, mine is still OK when testing the hardness with the meter.
