Taycan prices

Probably wrong forum I know, but why is it that the Turbo Taycan appears to depreciate a lot more in % terms than the non turbo model? Is there something about the turbo version I don't know?

Think the massive starting price at £126k when the entry level model is £80k and more than quick enough is the issue.

High depreciation probably isn't helped by the fact that the Porsche website lists over 200 Taycan Turbos for sale. OPCs must be desperate to shift the hundreds of Taycans which are hanging around in stock.

ALL of them are hellish expensive. I looked at a nearly new one the other week priced at £75k. Looked into insurance rates and nearly all companies gave their value of the vehicle (using the actual reg. number) as VERY low £60s.........................

Looks like they are shifting new Taycans via Broker4Cars……. Received a mail earlier today. “75 variants in stock….” Seemingly available at discounts of up to £12,000

Just received this invitation, have to smile as locking down my new car later this month and it’s certainly no EV.

My local OPC had this week 23 Taycan for sale and only 2 Macans, says it all really

If the price was right I would have a Taycan.

It most certainly would be my last car ever.

For once inside I would have to stay there.

What stupid Company designs a 4 seater car that has seating so low that only the young can get into and out of one?

Portsmouth OPC have just sent out a marketing circular re wonderful opportunities to buy a new Taycan that reads as though they were doing you a great honour but which certainly does not fool those in know re current situation

I’ve just had the same email from them. 18 months ago when I nearly bought one, they had an 18 month waiting list. Today they email to say not only has the waiting list disappeared, but they’ve had to buy 4 as a dealership that are ready for IMMEDIATE delivery.

They can’t shift the things……

I know all new cars are less in demand, but ev’s seem to be being hit much harder.
