This is a bit a long shot as I'm not sure early Macan's had PCM 3.1 but I thought I'd ask anyway as I've drawn a blank on the Piston Heads forum. The problem relates to my wife's 991 thus:

It's lost the traffic information (the blue arrows denoting congestion/queues) on the map screens.

This happened after I updated the map on the 2013 991 4S running PCM3.1 using data bought from satnavshop.co.uk. Came on several USB sticks with good instructions/video.

The installation upgraded PCM 3.1 from V4.73 to V4.76 then updated the map. Very easy, if time consuming, and all seems fine except that the traffic information (blue arrows) is no longer shown.

I can't find anything in the options to control this and I've contacted satnavshop.co.uk but they can offer no help on this specific issue.

Not sure if I'm missing something or I need to toggle a setting but I can't find anything.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I reckon that information was coming across the airwaves from a Porsche server somewhere and the third party update has disrupted that communication channel. Can't see Porsche being much help if you've "strayed"....

Yes, that would explain it. I know it gets the data through the radio system but never sure of its source.

Still, the map was so out of date the update was worth it (but I wasn't willing to pay Porsche's prices!)

Not an easy upgrade - I understand it needs a card fitting to the unit.

I can live without the traffic info - while it's useful, in ten years I can't remember a time when we've changed our route because of it.

Getting latest maps is a great benefit - especially in Europe

I can. Going up the M6 to Stockport it was stop start and the satnav advised me to exit at Holmes Chapel. I got to the top of the slip road and it redirected me back down the other side back onto the M6. :D

Live Traffic for me is pretty well essential, but not really worth the cost of the Subs.
