I have XPEL ulimate PPF on the front end of my Macan and just use the XPEL Ceramic boost occasionally to keep it protected etc.

However, I do have a few tar spots etc which need removing but I'm conscious that most cleaners can't be used on PPF. Can anyone on here recommend a product that can do this without risk of creating 'PPF haze'?

I suggest asking the detailer who applied the XPEL ppf for their advice.

You can’t use anything solvent based, would personally use a clay bar with plenty of lubricant and very gentle pressure.

What are you using as the lubricant as some of those have chemicals in them?

I have found this product which you'd think should be fine as it's made by them https://completecarcarecompany.co.uk/pr ... f-cleaner/

With a clay bar I use a PH neutral quick detailer spray but you can also just use a soapy water solution ( car shampoo) but I find the detailer spray easier and cleaner to work with. The xpel cleaner should be fine although rather expensive for what it is. If it’s just some tar stains and not to heavily built up you could also use a dilution of isopropyl alcohol and deionised water and gently wipe it away.

Yes, I have also used Bilt hammer clays and water but not my first choice, needs plenty of water, much prefer some additional lubricant to keep the clay to surface contact as smooth as possible.
