I think it must be something like that. A glitch in the system has caused the charge to just be for the labour, or just be for the parts. Andy was in the right place at the right time to benefit from this quirk!
I have a feeling if lots of forum members start ringing that OPC for oil changes, the glitch will have disappeared and normal service will have resumed.
