To answer the title of the thread, on Gen 1 cars you can insert DVDs into the disc slot and watch the DVD while stationary (video in motion not allowed). I can image the same applies to later cars

Yes could play DVD videos in my Gen1, but no CD slot in Gen2 and 3.

but potentially possible from USB or SD card..... needs an experiment!
