Hi all, just seeking out information on how common this failure is and how members have had the problem fixed, I have a 2015 Macan SD and I have had the adblue pressure sensor fail which is located in the Adblue pump unit, this would involve changing the complete pump unit, there are a few revisions of this vw/Audi part 9A713196901
9A713196900
8R0131969D
8R0131969C
The part number 8R0131969C is shared with several Audi vehicles which have the 3.0 TDI engine, Audi have revised the part to 8R0131969G
Costing £700 and porsche have revised the part to
9A713196901 costing £1300. I would assume both these parts would be very similar as they were revised from the same original shared part no.
8R0131969C.
It would seem like we are being made to pay the Porsche tax on a part which is prone to failure.
Adblue pump failure
As far as I know, there have only been two instances reported on the forum, my SD and Guy's. The full saga is shown in the thread below.

Thanks for the link On-track seems the is the same issue I'm having, I've managed to source the ad-blue pump unit alot cheaper and will be emptying the ad-blue tank and swapping out the unit, this seems to be a very common issue as it is also occurring in other VW/Audi diesel vehicles as they use the same ad-blue pump unit...

As it appears to be a common problem, have you tried looking around to see if there's a specialist in your area that can rebuild the existing pump with a new sensor ? Like this one:

Thanks for the link, smallWheels but I've managed to swap out the adblue pump for a new pump I sourced on the Auction site, it was the same part number as the one on the car and not the newer revised version sold by the dealers but it was also 1/4 price so I figure if it lasts me as long as my original adblue pump if was worth it. Hardest part of the install was removing the plastic locking ring which was impossible to remove so had to dremmel it off.
Mine failed too last August, was replaced under warranty. Was meant to be going away a week later, was provided a ‘hire car’ but turned out it wasn't insured to leave the U.K. (was going to Ireland) it was a real fuck up by the OPC who arranged it all.
