Just a thought!

You would think that "only smoke damage" wouldn't be a major problem.

Unless if gets inside the cars via the vents 🤔🤔

They'll get a free can of New Car spray as well as the quart of oil.

Lithium-ion batteries in the electric vehicles on board are "keeping the fire alive", Cabeças said, adding that specialist equipment to extinguish it was on the way.

Wonder how soon house insurance starts asking if you have an EV in your garage ...

You'd hope the petrol and tyres of an ICE would be a bigger risk.

On a selfish note. If all the Porsches are Teacans or hybrids then our Macan orders could be unaffected

Wishful thinking, there are US forum members waiting for their Macans on that boat - if the average car has 1300 chips these days then thats 5+ million chips up in smoke too

Lithium-ion batteries burn tremendously more fiercely and a major and growing problem for fire fighters.

Chemical fire - very difficult to extinguish. Aqueous foam or water doesn't work, neither does powder or CO2
