992 turbo s is faster, so I'll take one of those please
Mate has a Taycan 4s, he says that's really all the power you need on the open road.
As said above, it's amazing how quickly you get used to the power and always want more.

Me too, but don’t many people say that the neck snapping acceleration gets a bit tiresome and ‘old’ quite quickly?
Anyone for a bright yellow Taycan??

Words that are also uttered by many proud Macan 2.0 owners.

The new generation vehicles are increasingly refined and sophisticated, which is great, except for Adrenalin dump and grin factor.
I will get a 911 before it goes extinct, but it is already too refined for me and I will miss the NVH of my anti-social Boxster with 300hp on a scateboard with bumpers and lights.
Instant torque and velocity of EV is incredible, but I actually prefer hair-rising NVH of older cars.

I suppose adequate power and power delivery is more important than "stupid speed acceleration" that you rarely useWing Commander wrote: ↑Sat Feb 05, 2022 10:20 am

I really like the rapid gear changing and acceleration of 911 in sport plus mode . Not sure if electric can be as exciting

Not all modern 911s are too refined.
The Carrera T is already lowered, with reduced sound deadening, compared to a regular Carrera. To this recipe, add further lowering, stiffened suspension, more power and more noise!

Interesting development… so now I can have Taycan as a ‘company lease car’, however, standard lead-times apply, so approx 12 months waiting time.
Now, I have a Hobson’s choice: do I take Taycan on offer, or stick to the 911 C2S, which I always wanted, but waited too long to pull the trigger. The tax benefit will not last forever.
I suspect that as soon as there is critical mass of EVs, the tax benefit will evaporate. The 911 will also be superseded, so it is a tough call.
Any interesting contrarian views?

Well, you’ve always wanted a 911...
The Taycan is a great car. It will become a more common sight, and the number of variants will increase, as EVs generally increase in numbers greatly over the years to come...
The 911 is an iconic classic...
