From Good to Know App:
Agree with PMG’s comments. I decided not to add it as it failed too often when I tried it on a demonstrator.

Totally agree. Had it on both of my Macans and it's been a license saver on several occasions, especially on unfamiliar roads. Well worth the money and should be a standard for item.

Unless your insurer voids your cover if you turn it off.
'22 Macan S, GB, 14W/XL, AAS, PA/SV, ACC, LCA, PG, HF/RS, VFS, EETS, 75L, etc, etc.
Guys it’s not remotely monitored, it acts in the same way as headlights or ACC - The driver controls it.Old Chimer wrote: ↑Fri Feb 04, 2022 4:06 pmUnless your insurer voids your cover if you turn it off.
Far too much panicking going on I think…

Regardless, I had it on my Jag (16 plate) and it was worse than useless. For example, it insisted that a residential road near where we then lived was a national speed limit, when it was in fact a 30 limit with speed ramps! Conversely, it suggested a national speed limit section of dual carriageway we regularly used was only a 40 limit.Jon A wrote: ↑Fri Feb 04, 2022 4:19 pmGuys it’s not remotely monitored, it acts in the same way as headlights or ACC - The driver controls it.Old Chimer wrote: ↑Fri Feb 04, 2022 4:06 pmUnless your insurer voids your cover if you turn it off.

I didn't add it to my build as I use Waze. Though I've had to report incorrect speed limits in a few places, these have been addressed in a couple of places after reporting them, but others still are incorrect.

Thanks, Madelvic that's a useful insight, not sure how it sits with the Good to Know page but presumably that shows an extreme and unlikely example. Demo may be required methinks....

I found it useful on my last Macan, it’s one of the few things I don’t have on the current Macan and I will retro fit it after my 111 point warranty inspection.
It doesn’t just do speed signs, you get the occasional road sign, especially the ‘no overtaking’ sign. I found it particularly good on the M25 where it reads the overhead gantry variable speed limit signs, and it’s more or less instant once you pass the gantry. I doubt Google does that?
