Yesterday I had to stop a bit sharper than anticipated @ a set of traffic lights, all good but when I pulled away from the lights the car was being held by a rear brake, I pulled through the lights 50 mtrs or so & put car into park & applied handbrake. I released handbrake & pulled away all good. Any one any ideas as to the cause? Car is going into OPC on Monday for 4 year service, so will obviously mention it to them.

My guess would be a sticking caliper.

Isn't there a safety feature that brakes automatically to stop the car rolling on after an accident?
If you braked really hard - perhaps that triggered the safety device?
