Our SE has just confirmed that a £300 + VAT "discount" will be applied for anyone who's ordered 14 or 18 ways.Jon A wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 5:24 pm Update re power steering column - my OPC has confirmed that all Macan’s in order will not have the powered steering column but those that are on order will be offered a £300 plus VAT as a goodwill gesture.
They are not clear yet whether that will be discounted from the price or if offered as a separate payment, or as a discount from a further service or product.

Did you contact them first about this? Will this come off final balance?Old Chimer wrote: ↑Wed Feb 02, 2022 12:44 pmOur SE has just confirmed that a £300 + VAT "discount" will be applied for anyone who's ordered 14 or 18 ways.Jon A wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 5:24 pm Update re power steering column - my OPC has confirmed that all Macan’s in order will not have the powered steering column but those that are on order will be offered a £300 plus VAT as a goodwill gesture.

What about those about to order 14 ways? Has the configurator price been adjusted accordingly?
I bet it hasn't.

Nope, you’ll be paying the same. However, I haven’t been offered that £300 yet
But I’m not sure why this is linked to the seats. I thought every Macan used to get electric adjustment. The seats just added the memory bit didn’t they?
Macan S MY 2023
Electric adjustment of steering column comes with the memory function included in 14/18 seats. If just basic seats then manual column adjustment is standard.

SE emailed about something else so I asked in my reply on Tuesday. He responded this morning. Didn't specify whether the invoice will show a reduced price or a discounted amount, but I suspect the latter.PorscheMack wrote: ↑Wed Feb 02, 2022 1:19 pmDid you contact them first about this? When you say manual. Do you mean the column is motorised but can only be manually adjusted by moving a button up down back and forth. Is it just the automatic memory function that is missing? Or is the whole caboodle mechanical now as in days of yore and you have to wrestle it into the optimum position?

Well that’s a great question and I hadn’t thought about it because I will so rarely need to adjust it. But you could be right I think probably electric but not included in auto memory function - I need to look that up or somebody on here will probably know?Bluesnose1812 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 02, 2022 4:41 pmWhen you say manual.
