Hi all

I have been a customer of Porsche Chester for a few years and had a few cars (used and New) and recommended my friend to get one from there, subsequently he has ordered and taken delivery of a New Cayman.

Does anyone know if Porsche Centres offer a referral fee for sending new customers over who then order and take delivery of a new car ?

Thanks

Nope. You might get a Christmas card if you’re lucky. ;)

When demand exceeds supply, and when waiting lists are so long, I can’t see Porsche paying you money for a referral.

No harm in mentioning it to the Sales Manager, or Dealership Principal though, to get in ‘their good books’. :)

Generally with most referrals in life my advice is to agree fees/rewards up front. Worth asking though, you never know…

Yes, would have asked upfront before your friend made an appointment etc.

But agree with others during high demand may not be a reward, that said if any OPC gives a discount on a new car price, then there would be wiggle room for a referral fee.

Dont ask you dont get.

If I was a dealer principle I would certainly welcome referrals.

You would get a voucher to spend in the shop.

I’d arrange to get the cash value of the voucher back by hidden means.

That way it is a win win for me.

If such fees were commonplace, local Porsche clubs, PCGB and just groups of car loving friends would all get together and keep ‘referring’ each other, every time one of them planned to buy a Porsche, be it new or used! :P

An oil change for less than £200 is as good as a referral fee!

Hidden means? you mean encourage the staff to fiddle it to help you and breach company protocol...?

I wouldnt be offering you a referral then (especially in an FCA controlled environment)

Can you tell my job involves compliance.....
