After putting deposit down on base Macan in early December Ive changed it to an S today.
Visited OPC and had back too back test drives in new base an new S.
Town, country and motorway drives for 40 mins each.
The S is a beast (With Crono) and since this could be my last petrol car its got to be good.
Initially thinking Miami Blue but Configurator colour is nowhere near real colour after seeing one today in the flesh. Probably going to go Genetian Blue instead.
I asked OPC about blocked Pano Roof drains and they told me that if i have problems they will clear for free or under warranty.
Took my car mad Grandson and they let him sit in every car in showroom and even explained tech info to him.
Cant fault tem so far
Changed Order
Pleased to read you have changed to an S.
Can you elaborate on what was the difference in the test drives?

The base Macan was nice, tight and very smooth but slower than my Audi TT. The S however was very quick and sounded lovely. It had Chrono which did make a huge difference. It felt as though it had a lot more to give. Both cars had less than 2K miles recorded
I love Miami Blue having previously seen it on other smaller Porsche models. I was close to choosing that colour, and then they released Gentian Blue which I opted for.
I was very pleased I did, as I later saw a Macan in Miami Blue and I didn't feel it suited that model.
Each to their own, of course.
I'm very pleased with Gentian Blue.

Pete, I'm tempted to add Chrono to my spec. Just to get the steering wheel operation of Sport, doubt I'll ever even create a "personal profile" or use the stop watch. Where did you see the benefits from that?

My Porsche Macan will be my first and I did not have this in my spec. One test drive and it was quickly added. Loved this feature as it deals with the suspension and performance in one quick hit. Loved the timed boost feature too
Macan S MY 2023
Neil, I guess this means you're planning a change after less than two years with your Gen 2 S.
