davlewis wrote: Sat Jan 08, 2022 9:18 am Thanks for all the responses! Really helpful, I have just emailed them back basically saying the incentive needs to be much better for me to be interested + I would need confirmation that it would be registered as at 2022 car. From doing some quick research typical savings (ok probably not with Porsche) on a pre-reg car should be between 5-15%, so if they can work to the lower end of that range (being realistic-ish) then we shall see!
Good luck with getting a 5% discount! ;) 🍀
Well they have come back with the best they can do, which works out at around 3.3% But I had forgotten they had already given me 1.5% off previously so a total discount on a "new" / "used" Macan of 4.8%. I'm still in two minds, I'm going to call them shortly and I might see if they would chuck in a nice jacket and some other bits to sweeten it lol

Good luck! Make sure you’ve buttoned down the 2022 registration, and the exact detail of what car tax you’ll be paying. Maybe get a discount off the first service? I bought a nice Porsche jacket, but in fact, I rarely wear it. ;)

Personally I wouldn’t do it. There’s only going to be one winner in the end, and it certainly won’t be you. If it’s a pre Reg, in the future people will think it’s been a demo and been hammered, I for one wouldn’t touch it if I was told that.

Won’t there be a record of the negligible mileage for this car, on transfer of ownership, to prove it wasn’t a demonstrator? 🤔

I would take that deal.
Pretty much 5% off for 1 other owner-would make very little difference in the grand scheme of things.

Right. Update.

First of all thank you all for your input and advice really appreciate it.

I have just had a long chat with the OPC and I have agreed to proceed. Total discount including my original discount came to 4.8%, they are also going to include a full Swissvax treatment and products to take home and a one year reapplication. They are also going to put some PPF on the rear bumper/boot shut (we have a dog)

They have confirmed that the car is currently not registered and will be registered as a 2022 car. Also confirmed I will have to pay the £490 RFL.

All in all not to bad a deal (or atleast I don’t think so)

For a little peace of mind I popped my old X3 into Cazoo once with 0 previous owners and once with 1 previous owner. The difference in value was £133.

Car should be ready for collection on the 20th Jan!

Sounds like a great result!
PPF is not cheap and if you have swerved the £1400 first reg VED as well happy days 👍
