Ballon values...

I got quoted a balloon of £36k for a three year PCP on Macan S with Porsche this week (up from 28k two months ago) , helpful in one way, less so in others.

Is this consistent with everyone else? Also what sort of balloon is being quoted on a Taycan CT?

sorry, just to add, they told me that an S is calculated to be base with light options regardless of your spec, so around £60k. This means they are giving a guaranteed future value in three years of 60% original cost. I didnt think this was too bad, but of course has nothing to do with actual used value based on actual spec or OPC mar up.

Seem to remember my Jag being nearer 33% on similar numbers.

So mine is £70k but it doesnt matter because the balloon is that figure regardless, or at least that is how the business manager explained it to me.

Seems a very high balloon, mine on a GTS with a lot of options (~£80k list) was under £40k. Perhaps worth a requote...

So you pay 34k+say 10k interest or say £1250 pm.

absolutely, this is my point - if balloons have moved because of prevailing upshift in prices, is it worth re financing for some, where the monthly cost is the important driver. Its not so good if you intend to buy at the end though... :)

The payment will depend how much you are financing after whatever deposit you are putting in - i'm just saying the balloon for 12k per year mileage on my S is £36k and was £28k just two months ago...

My quote was from mid December, so only a couple of weeks old. Not sure if residuals are currently heading up or down, but I'd have expected it to be comparatively high vs if it was quoted say back in the summer. It's also on 4 years and 6k miles, rather than 3 years.
