Standard wheel if it’s useful

Just looked on the 911 confusorator and it looks identical to me. I test drove an S with GT wheel and it definitely occluded the view of the dials in my normal driving position - I could solve it by changing position but I just don’t want to have to do that. Not wedded to either wheel enough to dick about with it to be honest…

If that is the case then they have cheapened the steering wheel across the board sadly - I haven’t seen the latest iteration of the 911 in the flesh so can’t say.

The quality of the standard wheel and GT wheel are both very good but just wished I had specced the GT for the slightly thicker rim as it felt really good on the car I drove at PEC. Some car journalists prefer a thinner wheel but on balance I think I prefer the fatter rim. It’s not a deal breaker though.

Do the materials of the central gear selector change if you select the GT wheel? It mentions in the configurator but haven’t seen any actual images.

Pretty sure that there is no difference to the gear selector- the car I drove at PEC had the GT wheel and the gear selector appeared exactly the same as my car without the GT wheel.

Faux leather with standard wheel, actual leather with GT wheel. Just isn’t enough of it to tell any difference 😊

Not according to the configurator- even the standard non leather interior gets a smooth leather steering wheel rim and gear selector.

Not sure the gear selector is Leather if you stick with the standard wheel 🤔
