Mine arrived at the dealer today, so 7-10 days seems quite long. Picking it up on Monday next week!Dannyp wrote: ↑Wed Dec 29, 2021 9:14 am Had an email this morning to let me know that my car is at the "preparation centre" in Sheerness!
Should be at my dealer in 7-10 days . It was "on the boat on the 23rd - so maybe they've had it a couple of days already?
- but what happens at the "preparation centre" ????
Who will be the first in 2022?

It does seem strange that cars arriving in the same place at the same time should differ in terms of their completeness!

Yeah It is a little odd, but I guess they probably wanted to make room or just ship the "more or less" complete cars lol - Speaking to my OPC he said the recall (or missing part) was for the lights switching from LHD to RHD. But he seemed confident It wouldn't be more than 2 weeks until I can collect it.

You shouldn't joke about it, the BMWs prep centre was more than capable of reshelling a car if it'd sustained enough damage in transit; the buyer being none the wiserNuclear Nick wrote: ↑Wed Dec 29, 2021 10:01 amRepairing all the dings and scratches it’s picked up during transport!Dannyp wrote: ↑Wed Dec 29, 2021 9:14 am Had an email this morning to let me know that my car is at the "preparation centre" in Sheerness!

Afternoon All
I was told on 17 Dec 21, by the sales manager at my OPC, that my Macan S was in the compound at Emden. I didn’t ask when it arrived there, though.
Having spoken to the OPC yesterday, they still don’t have notification of which vehicle carrier it will be on (apparently they are informed on the ‘system’). They will let me know when they find out.
Does anyone know what I could expect to be the typical wait for a vessel in Emden? It will have been there at least 3 weeks on 7 Jan 22. My OPC is Wolves and they tell me they get their Macans through Grimsby. They are not aware it has been withheld for any reason.
Thanks.

Sounds strange. I was led to believe (by a BMW salesman - so may be inaccurate) that LED lights are software controlled as to base position and do not dazzle the other side of the road as they cutoff sharply, so I didn't need to do anything when driving on the right hand side. Perhaps I should have said to him "when driving abroad "davlewis wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 12:01 pmYeah It is a little odd, but I guess they probably wanted to make room or just ship the "more or less" complete cars lol - Speaking to my OPC he said the recall (or missing part) was for the lights switching from LHD to RHD. Looks like City of St Petersburg could be the vessel to look out for. She's due to berth in Grimsby this evening (https://www.vesselfinder.com/vessels/CI ... -353083000) but berthing could be delayed until Saturday (https://www.portoftyne.co.uk/marine-inf ... -movements. The port movements then suggest she's going straight back to Emden and then returning to Grimsby next Wednesday morning.jharrower wrote: ↑Wed Jan 05, 2022 3:16 pm Afternoon All
