Well i finally got the car i was after and it did come with a 3 month warranty with WarrantyWise, apparently they are one of the better companies. I have the Platinum cover which entitles me to claim £150 an hour for labour up to a max of £5000 so not bad. Really.
I just spoke with WarrantyWise about extending the original 3 months to either 2 or 3 years and they want £1,620 or £2,530 respectively so a few hundred more than what Porsche are charging you mate. I’ll be calling porsche later to get a quote.
I'm going through the same thing with my latest GTS. However, you do need to ensure it has N rated tyres of the same N rating all round, not N1 on the rear and N0 on the front like mine. They also made a comment about the wiper blades when it was serviced last week but did not say that was an issue. £880 for one years warranty and £1485 for two years from memory. Trust me, you need the warranty with an SD, mine was in the dealers 11 times in two years!

I fully agree, a warranty is a must have and although i’m not sure of the tyre rating, they’re P-Zero’s all round and i suspect they are the original set.

Derek, it’s easy. The N rating is clearly shown on the tyre wall (e.g. N2, N1, N0 etc). See pic:

This was my quote from motoreasy. Reviews on them seem ok but I'm sure they find some way to squirm out of the bigger builds... Wanted cover more for any PDK problems which this supposedly does. Anyone have any thoughts on them?
Don't mind getting an approved but can't do it for 3 months as only just bought the car and obviously does tie you into OPC servicing which on a car nearly 7 years old I'm not sure on. Have a couple good indy's nearby.

They’ve just quoted me £1,963 fir a 3 year cover with £120 + Vat labour costs to OPC in Newcastle. OPC Newcastle actually charge £132 inclusive so i would be covered in terms of labour.

Your Porsche warranty on the transfer box ends at 7 years, so ensure that is covered too - i would imagine it is. I agree once you are beyond the 6/7 years age then specialist servicing makes more sense financially - saving £500 on a service visit helps towards warranty costs, and again the savings from a after market warranty should cover any shortfall from the Porsche warranty should you run into issues later.

Well, after ignoring them for a few days ( cos i was busy) they came back and offered me tyhesame deal for £1,593
