Is that because they already knew at that stage the 348 was going to be a duffer !
No idea, but the concept of buying a new car, running it for a year, then selling it back to the supplying dealer for the same price has some merit.
It would be a brave bet to say this wouldn't happen in the current climate.
I ran a 2019 2.0 Boxster for nearly 18 months and sold it in June in anticipation of my Boxster 25 arriving. I sold it for a few thousand less than I paid for it but taking into account it needed 2 rear tyres, a wheel refurb and the first service was looming made the loss even smaller. If I'd have waited 2 more months I would have come out even if I didn't have to cover the work needed as prices were still rising though the summer. Overall for a base Boxster I was pretty pleased with the outcome.
I'm told the B25 is worth more than I paid for it but it was bought to use so not too bothered about that.

...more of a worry is my little Zoe that's just had it's NCAP rating reduced to zero!!!
It’s only a problem if you crash
As my mother constantly tells me...it's the other idiots on the road )
From a few years ago - a tractor pulled out of a side road...I even tried to avoid him, but he kept on coming...
That's impressive, hardly a scratch on the bumper!
