Hi folks,

My last Macan had comfort access so I'm not sure how the car operates without it specced (which I am considering on my new model order).

I imagine the open/close of the doors has to be done with the key but what about starting the engine?

Do you still get the dummy key or do you need to put your key in the dash every time you start it?

Col,

Maybe point me to the post that answers my questions above as I read through it and can’t find the answer?

Im aware of the risks that are being discussed in that thread.

Thank you, might end up speccing comfort now as putting a key in the dash every drive seems a bit archaic now 😂

I have comfort access
Had the car a few days now and here’s what I know
Comfort access allows you to keep key in your pockets
Placing hands on door handles or tailgate will open the car
There is a dummy key in the ignition that starts and stops engine
On leaving the car simply brush door handle to lock
Hope that helps

I think you are referring to Porsche Entry and Drive.

In my Gen 1, the key is needed to open the car and the key is inserted where the dummy key is on cars with Entry and Drive. The key is turned to start the car
