Are they worried about COVID ?

A lot of the drivers at PEC are retired police, probably in their late 50s/early 60s, and likely don’t fancy spending Christmas in quarantine or a sick bed.

Suppose it’s understandable.
I’m not sure that is entirely true - I’ve had one and that was on the Macan day - probably thought all Macan drivers were old and drove slow !

On all the sports car ones I’ve done it has been somebody similar age or younger than me who are involved in motorsport one way or another. There is a relatively tidy lass there called Kat and a couple of other young ladies too

Glad I managed to get my PEC done last week. I was a bit surprised how busy it was but it did seem most people brought a partner. My instructor allowed me not to wear a mask as he preferred that I could see ( it was a wet day and my glasses kept steaming up).

Exactly as I was told yesterday, though I was told there were a few appointments available in late January so may be worth calling them pronto.

I asked the Instructor last time at I was at the PEC what driving qualifications he had:-

ADI (Approved Driving Instructor) Trainer with X years training ADI’s.

Race National License - he did not qualify which one.

Plus, test driver for Aston Martin

It must be pretty well paid as another Instructor lived in St Annes which is easily a 4 hour drive and he travelled down and stayed local for the week.
