If you have the car MOT'd before the end of warranty then you can have any problems addressed while the car is in. If you go elsewhere and it fails you'll be rushing around trying to fix an appointment before the warranty expires.

As Simon has said, it's usual to get a Porsche courtesy car for the day but you'll need to book in advance.

Do remember that for many dealers, not just Porsche they can be a wait of up to six weeks for an appointment and a loan car may or may not be available, and nowadays it quite well is an also ran car.

Hence factor the timescale in for booking an appointment.

The OPC where I bought my Macan does not do MOT’s themselves but farms it out to another company coupled with the fact that they have now moved to Carnforth (you can see their new base as you pass on the M6). So do ask your OPC if the MOT is undertaken in-house.

As it is my original OPC said they could not provide a loaner and you can see all of Carnforth in five minutes they are not now my preferred dealer, I now use a different OPC which is very local to me and they offer a FOC collection and return service, we used them for years with our Mini and never had any issues with them, in fact the opposite in they are far more helpful.

  Well, I’ll soon have a bill for at least £2,300, with only an ‘ugly’ Beemer for a courtesy car on this occasion. :?
£2,300 bill!! For what? 🤔
That is a subsidised bill for two new turbos. It’s over £3,600 now, as apparently it needs a new heat exchanger for the oil cooler... :?
