Have a look at the other threads on this eg

viewtopic.php?f=20&t=10355

I use it but have gone back to using Apple CarPlay wirelessly. More and more I'm a fan of Waze as it notifies you of recent Police activity.

I've found Connect useful for:
1. Updating maps over the air
2. Real time traffic info
3. Being able to find destinations using Google (ie an address or a company name, not just a postcode)
4. Being able to do this in the house and sending it to the car

I don’t think this is an option on new cars?

The “internet” bit? Yep, gen 3’s have in-car wifi. Not sure how it works though

But I don’t think it’s a paid for option to choose?

sorry, see what you mean. No in-car wifi is a standard feature in Gen 3

I believe the subscription mentioned is also free for at least the first year.

The infotainment services are included free for 24 months, thereafter it requires a subscription which was £119 but is now £139, worst still as it costs £159 for newer gen 2 & 3 Macans

That does not include everything as a £19/30 days 7Gb Data Package is also required for WiFi and streaming services with options to buy more data

Gen 1 Macans have a Data SIM card slot in the facia between the two SD card slots. Many of us buy a Data SIM which is preloaded with a certain amount of Gb. I use a 12 or 24Gb card by 3 which lasts 12 months, not all suppliers have a 12 months usage plan so do check the small print.
