Of course not!

For example, I had a base macan with 21s. No PASM and no air!
It went for as much as any other base macan.

Doesn’t work like that. They are desirable cars and it’s ridiculous to think it would impact resale.

To ease any nerves I’ve spoke two 2 individuals who have both driven the new GTS and the feedback is excellent for the standard sports suspension

There will always be folk who like it and those who don’t, that’s normal.

GTS is a desirable car and this will not impact resale. I would bet my mortgage on that.

I’ve owned 8 porsches in total. All variety of specs and models, some with PASM and air and others not. The cars that never had PASM or air - It never impacted resale for me.

I suspect that the majority, not all, of folk buying used are new to Porsche and are not as familiar with these options as the members of this forum (have become). Those buyers who are clued up on these are buying new to get their desired spec or are a minority able to cherry pick what they want. Maybe!

I just read the new Pistonheads Macan 2022 GTS review (Sept 1st) where they state going for the no-cost option of ‘normal air suspension’ (rather than the standard GTS sport -10mm) suspension “ is a better compromise”.
Any views on this please ? (I’ve just ordered a GTS with standard (-10 mm) GTS air suspension, prefer comfort over OTT sportiness so thinking maybe I should revert to the (normal adaptive air suspension). Advice appreciated !

Hi - I’ve now had a 3rd car reviewer/journalist who drove the car for one of the reviews come back to me on the standard sports suspension.

All three have said the same thing now - that the standard sports suspension is excellent.

He said:

“The suspension was excellent on bumpy road”
“I live in LA, so almost all the roads in town are bumpy/rough”
“I was amazingly comfy the entire time I had the car. It just stiffens up for sporty driving in sport and sport plus modes”
“I think you will be happy with the standard GTS sports suspension”

So my advice, ignore the noise and conjecture, look at what people who actually drove the car said and keep the standard suspension unique to the GTS!

If comfort is more important to you than out-and-out sportiness then go for the S instead of the GTS and save a few £££

Review in Autocar seems to support sticking with standard GTS suspension.

We know the Red German GTS was at Porsche UK in Reading, so from the article it does seem Autocar may have actually driven it on British roads

Strange as my OPC has deliberately opted for the non GTS suspension on their demo model 🤔

Pretty standard, nothing strange about that.
OPCs spec cars in many different ways, wouldn’t look into that at all, especially as they would not have driven or experienced any of the cars so far.

Best to go off the facts - I.e. the reviews
