Worth looking at it more closely. An ordinary production Tesla S Plaid lapped the Nurburgring last year in 7min 31sec - some 11 seconds quicker than the Taycan Turbo S had managed. With over 1000hp, it's pretty quick - 0-100km/h in under 2 seconds.

Impressive but lapping the Ring can be misleading - a Honda Civic type-R did it in 7.43 five years ago! These EV’s are incredibly quick in a straight line but I wonder how the ever increased battery eight required (to get the performance) then just hurts the handling?
I am however quite sure these conundrums will be solved in the coming few years…

Hope the Macan EV does better in the colder months,

As I said previously, Porsche don’t seem to be on top of things when it comes to software. There’s glitches all over the place. And the Taycan seems to have its fair share of electric issues, especially with the batteries. They’ve really got to get on top of things before more EV’s come from their stable.
Tesla has had its fair share of issues too.
